Accreditations

Detroit Testing Laboratory, Inc. maintains accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. DTL's internal quality assurance program strives to exceed these requirements and is proactive when it comes to continuous improvement. ISO/IEC 17025:2005 states: "Testing and calibration laboratories that comply with this standard (ISO/IEC 17025) will therefore also operate in accordance with ISO 9001 or ISO 9002."

Our scope of accreditation encompasses the mechanical, chemical, electrical and calibration fields.

Detroit Testing Laboratory, Inc. is approved through Underwriters Laboratories as a Third Party Test Data Program Provider (TPTDP) in the field of battery testing for household, commercial, and electric vehicle batteries. DTL's internal quality assurance program and technical competence has been assessed by UL and this approval allows DTL’s data generation recorded during testing under UL and associated standards to be directly utilized by UL for certification of products tested.

Our scope of recognition encompasses the mechanical and electrical fields as indicated within our scope of participation.
